EEK!!!!!

Ok, so while I was playing on my xbox360 with a few friends, I look over at my dog and what do I see? My dog completely passed out. So I curled his top lip over his teeth and then he opened his eyes and looked at me. He was probably thinking....
"Mommy WTF are you doing to me!!!!" The funny thing is, he stayed like that for like 15 minutes. He didn't budge when I got up to get the camera either. LOL......I really need a life... =)
Doesn't he look creepy?

My poor dog.......

.....I feel so bad for him. hehe He's such a good sport and a very good model for me. I must admit that he doees seem to like his sweaters. =)

My little felted needle case

Here's a before picture of the needle case. Rather than buy more yarn I decided to use up all the scraps from the felted bags I've made. I got pretty far with those scraps that I was going to trash. I guess it's a good thing I didn't do that. I still have about 12 inches to go and then I can finish it and felt it. Then I have to do some sewing. YUCK! I'm horrible at it, but I guess it doesn't have to be perfect.

Mom's Bag

Mom's Bag
...I still have to felt this baby and make some buttons. I think it came out pretty darn good! I'm a little worried about the flap though. Not sure if that's going to work out. I can always cut it off if it looks dumb after felting it. I also went a different route with the strap this time. I picked up 6 stitches on one side and knit it in garter stitch all the way across for like 33 ridges and then joined it to the other side, rather than doing the button-hole handle that I've done with the other bags. If it works, that's the strap I'm going to do on my mother-in-law's bag as well as a new one for me!!! I have to wait until payday though b/c my DH will KILL me if I buy any more yarn...lol We'll see....

So I was thinking.....

.....it's been a loooong time since I posted ANYTHING about gaming. So here it is.

My DH and I have been enjoying our 360 for the past few months. There's definitely plenty of games to keep us busy. In fact, Tomb Raider Legends is my lastest obsession. Though I am stuck at the first boss. Figures. But, thanks to my good friend, AJVen0m, I have some insight as to how to get through the first boss. Now before you say anything, it's not a cheat, really. It's just...ok so maybe it is a cheat. But I still have to actually play and not just enter some stupid code to do it. Really, I know what I had to do, but I've been at my wits' end for a coupla weeks now. I figured before I went and stuck dear old Lara at the bottom of our game pile, I'd give her another chance. So we shall see if I can get past the big bad boss. Maybe I've post a pic once I beat him, if I am quick enough.

Happy Gaming!!!!

More dyeing

I finally went to this local yarn store that re-opened a few months ago, The Woolly Lamb, in Pennington. I was looking for some more sock yarn to dye and was directed to this yarn by Dale of Norway. So far it looks and feels quite nice, but I wanted to do a test to see if I could dye it. So I did and the photo is above. It doesn't look too bad. Plus, I am so happy that I finally got my size 1.5 dpns!!! Woo!

Ok, that's enough outta me tonight! bye!

Balls O' Yarn

Hello again! I guess I just can't seem to stay away this weekend! Here are a few pictures of the dyed hanks that I balled up tonight. The only one I didn't do was the large rainbow looking one. It'll take too long tonight to do it by hand since I don't have a fancy ball winder or swift.

Enjoy! These yarns look so pretty I can't wait to use them!

yarn dyeing extravaganza

Let me just first say that I had an awesome time yesterday with my sister-in-law and her friends! Thank you so much for inviting me over! I think we all have some gorgeous yarn to show off. Here are some of the pictures that I took once I got home since I FORGOT my own camera. I'll add more once Tisha emails me the pics that she took.

I can't wait to knit this stuff up into sweet socks!!!!

KoolAid rocks!!!!!!!

Jenny's Bag is DONE!!!

Well I finished Jenny's bag and I think it looks pretty cute=) The shoulder straps are growing on me. I tried to do something different with them because they looked kinda silly the normal way because of the length. Of course I forgot to photograph it pre-felting, but what else is new. lol In addition to this bag, I also made a black and maroon one for my friend Patti for her birthday. That one came out cute too, though I forgot to photograph that one as well. Der.
Anyways, she said she would be glad to take a picture of it for me so that I can post it here for your viewing pleasure. (not that anyone besides me ever looks at this thing anyways. I'm just too lazy to join a knitting webring. I don't post nearly enough for something like that. I do enjoy reading them though. It's nice to know I'm not the only maniacal knitter out there.=)
Well. I'm off to detangle my purple mess! Wish me luck, I am going to need it!!!!!!

Happy knitting!!!

Kool Aid Konfessions

Ok, so I know I am going to a yarn dyeing party tomorrow and it's gonna be a blast I can already guess. I just couldn't help myself, I had to try it out ahead of time to see how it all worked. Man was it ever EASY!!! Although my dumbass didn't tie my hank secure enough so during the cooking process and while I stirred it like the directions said a few times, my hank came apart. So when it was all done I was left with this PILE of yarn that's a pretty damn gorgeous color. =O) So I now have to sit here and try to untangle my mess and wrap it in a nice hank so that It can dry properly. I even brought it to work today to try and untangle it during my lunch. I found both end pieces, so I guess that's at least a start. =) I used grape kool aid and while my yarn was cooking I took red and blue food coloring and dropped random drops onto the yarn creating this neat sort of variegated effect. I'm quite happy with how it came out, but I'll feel better once it's untangled. =)

Jenny's Way-Cool Bag

Hello again! I know I know, it took me like a month to post anything and now you get 3 in two days. Go me!
Anyway, I started working on a bag for my friend, Jenny. I think it's come out pretty good so far. I should probably finish it tomorrow. Only a couple more rows, the handles and a loop for a button closure. I'm still a bit undecided on how I want to actually do the loop. I'll think about it tonight and see what I can come up with tomorrow.
I decided that I needed to take more "step by step" photos of my work instead of just the "before and after". The pictures I took show the beginning of the bag, then you can see the inside of it and then the almost-completed photo.

See ya!
Happy Knitting!!!!!

I dropped off some of that yummy yarn I got from JoJo Land for T and Jody. So enjoy ladies! I'll see u next week for some dyeing fun! Woo! Do I need to bring any food?
