What I did on my days off....

Besides waiting for maintenance to come and fix my bathroom last week for 2 days, I decided to dye some yarn and frog my two at a time toe up sox. I just wasn't happy with them. #1 they were too small (didn't increase enough before I started working them straight), #2 I was getting worried about doing the "afterthought heel". It sounds pretty confusing. So I took out my wonderful book by Cat Bordhi and decided to make the basic sock pattern. It began quite easily and ended the same way. I will take a picture of it once I finish the other sock. I have attached two pics that I took of it in-progress. Also, I dyed some yarn, as I said above. I hanked up 4 skeins of yarn. I dyed two of them in the Mango Kool-Aid and the other two was a two-toned red and green mixture. See all pictures below. (except the mango one , I forgot to take a pic. I'll do it later and add it here.)
Enjoy!!!

Joey's Christening Outfit

Here are a few pictures of the Christening outfit that I am trying to make for my Godson, Joey. I still don't know when the Christening is, so I'm hoping I'll get to finish it before the day, instead of having to buy something. I think they are expensive. Anyways, wish me luck!! I have off again today because our phone company is coming out to fix our lines. "We'll be out between 8am and 7pm." Jeez, could they just give a smaller block of time? Dang! At least that give me time to work on the outfit. Plus I had to call maintenance to come out and fix my shower. The tiles are falling off the wall. Nice, huh? Oh well.....here I sit, waiting for someone to show up. It's 10:20 am and still no phone company or maintenance. I called Maint. exactly at 8:00am when they are on duty too. Blah................... All my husband cares about is how he's going to take a shower when they finally fix the walls. They'll have to rip everything out because it's all rotted behind the tiles. YUK! I just want it fixed. I'll wash in the sink if I have to. I pay enough rent for them to to the job right.

NJS&B Sweater Help

Here is a picture of a sleeveless sweater that I started working on when I had two days off of work. I'm a bit stuck right now because I've never gotten this far on a sweater front and I'm confused by the instructions. At the point I'm at right now, It's telling me to continue working until the armhole measures 7-1/2 inches. I don't know what I'm supposed to measure to get to that length. Do I measure from the base of the armpit and work until it measures 7-1/2 inches? Or am I wrong?
I used Lionband Microspun
yarn that I had lying around in French Vanilla, Lilac and Ebony.

Thanks, in advance, for any input. =)
