O.Y. Sox & the Lil Bunny

Okay here's the beginning of pair number 2!
So, they're orange and yellow, big deal. I like wild socks. =) I am making these a little higher than the other pair that I made. I can't wait to wear them!

Above and to the right is the Lil Bunny. I thought it was cute. I got the pattern from Lion Brand website, though I made it way smaller than it's supposed to be.

It's done!

Well, I got to felt my bag today and here's the photo to prove it! It looks so cool! And it was so incredibly easy to make.
I started another today with the leftover yarn and I may even try to make a small zippered pouch to go with it like a little wallet or something. The other bag will be purple with a couple of blue stripes in it.
My mom had the great idea to add a few snaps for closure to the bag. I think I want to make an even larger one as extra project bag. Mom is going to buy some yarn for me to make one for her too. lol I guess I am on a roll.
It just went fast because it's knit in the round on size 15 circs holding two strands of yarn together. The color combinations are endless. I could make tons of these bags. =)

****I'll add my photo later because the site isn't completing the update for me. =(

Another First...... the felted bag

So here it is Pre-felting. I found a cute pattern and went with it. I like trying different things with knitting.

Tomorrow I will be at my parents house to visit and to felt my lovely bag without having to spend money at the laundromat.

My "After" photo will be posted some time tomorrow night.

Happy knitting!!!!!

My sweater set........Back of the Shell

Well, here's a pic of the sweater set that I am currently working on. I'm very proud of the armholes. I was able to work them so that I didn't have those "stair steps" when I decreased. I'm going to attempt the same technique when I start my decreases for the neckline. As you can see, all the way at the top, I did my first neck decrease. Now I just need to work the shoulders and the rest of the neckline. Then half of the shell will be complete! Not bad for my very first sweater. My mother is supposed to be making the same sweater set. Actually we're supposed to be working on it together, but we haven't been able to find 12 skeins of the yarn in the same dye lot for hers. I have to get her out to look for yarn, or as a last resort she can buy it online. ...ok I just called her, we are going to go look next week. FINALLY!!!

Later!

POOPIE!!! =(

Well, when I wore my sox for the first time on friday they were nice. Everyone at work loved them. =) I was so bummed though...lol They grew! By the end of the day my heels were at my ankles. =( Maybe I should try a smaller pair of needles. That's ok I still have one skein of the yarn left and I have plenty on the way thanks to T, so I can always try again. My husband said he would gladly were the sox I made. Ummm yeah, like I wanna see a man in blue patterned anklets..lol
Anyway, I'm on the hunt for patterns, I'm trying to turn up something different, at least until I'm more familiar with knitting sox, then I'll venture out and try to design something.

It's a Pair!

Holy cow! I can't believe it's a pair! I know I'm a crazy nut, but I don't care! I love to knit and I'm proud of it! A month ago I made a baby blanket to give to my cousin's wife at her baby shower. It's crocheted and cute, but only single crochet, because I haven't progressed that far yet. =) I figure, I'm on the right track if I can turn the chain. So when I learn double crochet, I'll attempt more patterns.
I gotta run for now. Tons of ideas swimming around in my head. So many things to make. I have yarn for another poncho, so I need to start working on that and the other dog sweater for a woman at work. **sigh** I better get clicking..=)

I'll be adding some pix of us in April when we get together..

Yay! I finished sock #1!!! Woo Hoo!!!

Well, here it is! My first completed sock!
I'm so excited that I finished it tonight.
I also started on sock #2 to complete the pair. =)

Enjoy the photos of my lovely foot!

I'll post a pic of the completed pair as soon as I am done.

As I said in my previous post, I am totally addicted and I can't wait to start my next pair.
My creative brain is already thinking of a design.

I'm going back to my knitting, see you later!

It's been waaaay to long....

Well, It sure has been a while since I've posted anything to my little blog. This weekend my husband and I went to visit his brother. My sister-in-law called me and asked if I wanted to join her and friend on a little excursion to visit an LYS near them that they had never been to before. Needless to say, it seemed like it took us forever and a day to get there, but we finally made it. Now, thanks to those two, I have become obsessed and I haven't even finished my first sock yet! My sister-in-law helped me locate a basic pattern to try. (I have always wanted to try socks, but have been a little afraid to do so.) I had bought some nice sock yarn (you can see in the pictures) and a set of DPNS in size 2 and set out to work on my very first pair of socks!
I should give a little backgroung on this story....my sister-in-law is new to knitting, but learned how to knit socks. She became obsessed and was telling me about it. Then she showed me some of her pairs of socks that she made and that her friend Jodi made. I was hooked! I wanted to knit socks too! So she sat there with me last night and helped me through the majority of my first sock. I was delighted! I'm ready for more! lol
Anyways, here are some photos of the yet-to-be-finished first sock. Above is the partial sock and the skein of yarn that I am making it with, and below we have my beautifully done blue heel. =) and below that is just another close up of the sock.

So in closing for today, I just want to send out a HUGE!!! thanks to Tisha and Jody! I am completely obsessed. As if I wasn't already obsessed with knitting already. =)
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Oh, by the way...=) I almost forgot that we finally got our 360!!! Yeah!!! It's fantabulous!! lol OK OK for those of you that have ever read this page you can see how crazy I am. I had to keep with my knitting and gaming theme since those are two of the many things that I enjoy! SEE YA 'ROUND!! Happy knitting to all and to all a good night!
