Check out the cute handbag that I made. It's single crochet with 2 strands of yarn. I found some cute buttons in my mother-in-law's stash and they worked perfectly!

The Launch Date

Ok, so here I am, just a few hours away from having an xbox 360 in my hands. Well, actually my husband will be waiting in the rain and cold at the local Best Buy store for hours to hopefully get his hands on the long awaited XBOX 360. Of course I'm sure that they will sell out and we will be left with nothing. =( At least we still have the hope of our pre-order in the months to come. Keep your fingers crossed for us. =) Woo hoo! 360 here we come!

My dog sweater...

Ok, here it is. I have included some of the work in progress photos as well as the finished product. Unfortunately, my calculations were a tad off. The sweater is way to long and the length from the neck to the front legs is too short. Oh well, the good thing about knitting is that I can always rip it up and start over until I get it right....

A new work in progress....

Here is a picture of the dog sweater I am currently working on. I've been working on it a little bit each day. Tomorrow I need to pick up some DPNS to complete it once I finish the 2nd piece. This was a pattern that I found in a book I bought last year. It is supposed to have a cowl neck. I have never worked a piece like that yet so I am a bit nervous of the outcome. I'll be posting some more pictures once I get more of the sweater completed.

My first post...

This is my first offical post to my new blog. Right now I am preparing some projects for an employee craft exhibit at work. I am making some mittens, a few dog sweaters and a hat. I will post some photos as I complete the projects. For now I will close with a photo of my first large wearable piece, which is a poncho in the colors of my favorite hockey team, The Trenton Titans.

Of course, I am modeling my work of art. Enjoy!!
