The Christening Outfit - DONE!!!!!

Man it took forever, but I finally had completed the Christening outfit for my Godson, Joey. It came out beautiful and I got many complements on it. Though it did look a tad weird on a 1 year old boy. It all worked out ok. Hopefully I can get some pictures of him wearing it. My husband only took one picture with my camera and you can hardly see who is in it. =( Oh well.
I have been knitting like crazy over the past few months. I have many photos to post. I'll try to get to that later on, but for now please enjoy my photos of the outfit. =)

Dye Day

I was sitting at my desk at work yesterday when all of a sudden the lights and the computers and everything went out. We were without power for about 2 hours or so when management decided to send us home for the day.


So I went home and did this:

Finally...i finished another pair of socks...

WEll, since my favorite band is Korn, I just had to knit a pair of socks. I did a duplicate stitch on the red socks. Anyways, I'm dorky, enjoy!!

Hello there! Guess what???!!!?? I finally finished my first sweater!!! Woo Hoo!!! I was so excited that I completed it last night that I wore it to work today. I got lots of compliments. Check it out for yourself! Aren't you proud Mom?????

What I have been up to since Thanksgiving...

Here are the bags I was making for my friend's Mom. I REALLY hope she likes them!!! The pictures don't quite do them justice, they look loads better in person.

For the first time, I tried my hand a lining the bags. I think it worked out fairly well considering I can't sew with a sewing machine to save my life. The material I picked up is really cool. I hope Heb's Mom likes that too. =)
Here you can see me trying to sew on the lining with the sewing machine. Not an easy task.
Here is something else fun that I made recently. I bought the pattern set Bacchus in the bath eye mask from Knit Picks. I love it! I didn't make the middle I-cord yet, but I will add it soon so it's completely dark when I wear it to sleep or when I get a migraine to keep out the light.
Here's a photo of me modelling the eye mask. I must say that the yarn I used (Shine Worsted) is so incredibly soft and it feels nice on your face. I didn't put anything inside the mask, but you can add scented herbs or rice or something. The pattern explains how you can add to it. It was work buying the pattern kit.
